I've had this gear forever! Panasonic DVX100a, Mac w/FCPro, PC w/Premiere & AfterFX, pro mic's, pro lights, etc etc. But it's taken me over a year to really shoot stuff...!
Why? I guess b/c I have never worked on the organizational skills required to unite large #'s of people to work on a project. Now that I'm beefing up that part of my personality & skillset, I'm finding the areas I'm missing.
Anyway, the long & short of it is myself (RE) and my friend (OM) will soon be online w/a VideoBlog on films. (More info to come.) I think it's a great bold move. I'm having fun editing it, and I'm excited about the future of the project.
What was really interesting is that OM is very upbeat and positive, while I'm extremely critical and harsh. I had no idea. It was eye-opening. Who am I to criticize people that have shot hundreds of hours of footage, even if their final product is less than decent?
Oh yeah, I'm the reviewer with a bad attitude! HA HA
I'm finding that as I move closer to my destiny, my energy levels leap up.
As I stay still and don't move towards the path of excitement, challenge, and unknown, my energy levels drop off like a rock.
Glad to know this truth.
