#Bernie2020 #PresidentSanders - my 2020 pro-Bernie rant

I've been typing these hashtags for so long now.

Was hoping we'd see Trump jailed for being a traitor, violating his oath to uphold the Constitution, misuse of power, bribery, violating emoluments clause, being unfit for office - lying, racism, sexism, and asking foreign countries to intervene in elections.
What other people might've done hidden behind doors, Trump is so ballsy (or is it stupid?) to do in front of the world.  He worships dictators, constantly calls out to racist cabals and people with guns to "get ready", and he continually proves himself to be lacking required character of anyone except a villain.
Trump is a supervillain unlike anyone we've seen in the modern era.  He's got the potential of Hitler, Stalin, and similar.  Hopefully he fails miserably because he was spoiled & never got a work ethic.

On to Bernie.

This is my 2nd time to be able to vote for a candidate the represents me and my world views.  I want tax money to help everyone.  I want medical coverage for all, like other (so called) '1st world' countries.  I want free college.  I want to end the student debt oppression.  I want to see equality in the financial world.
Most importantly, I do really believe that the 1% are disrupting the proper functioning of the global economies.  The 1% are like bloodclots, or chi that pools up and goes sour.  Having super-rich doesn't make any aspect of society better.
But sharing opportunities and wealth could change our society so radically that we could improve all aspects in 100 years.  If we had 100 Einsteins who were empowered by the society, what would that be like?  But instead, we have tons of people with potential who live their lives under attack by a ton of factors -- poverty, race, social oppression, sexism -- so not only do we miss out on their potential, but we miss out on even just their stunted potential.  It's a crime against our potential.

And also the environment.
We must start to cherish our world as a global value, regardless of culture or religion or profits lost.  Humanity (and the other Earthlings) can no longer afford to allow short sighted industry to destroy essential parts of the Earth to extract profits.  Industry needs to change, so that profits are beneficial to the planet at all stages of creation (and distribution).

We live on a planet that could sustain life as we know it for billions of years.  But the actions of humanity are undercutting our sustained existence, so severely that we may be creating our own extinction within the next 100 years.  What sane person can advocate for this type of disruption of human existence?

There are better ways for humanity to evolve than destroying ourselves & imagining what comes next (we won't be around to see).

Bernie is that path for USA.  Bernie fills me with joy and excitement, makes me happy for the potential in humanity.  Yes, I'll take (almost) anyone but Trump, but I'd rather take the most exciting leader I've ever seen take the steering wheel and pull us back from the abyss.

Warriors of Waterdeep mobile game - skip it

Warriors of Waterdeep - a strategic game set in the Dungeons & Dragons setting?  Hoorah!  What could be wrong with that?  Unfortunately, most of the game - I will elaborate.

The. most glaring issue with this game is Ludia’s badly done ‘free to play’ model which embraces P2W.  Ignoring this flaw, the game itself is utterly lacking — the strategic aspect is mostly leveling up gear and heroes, but the minor strategic aspect in choosing which item and which hero is so far less than what could have been if there had been a more open inventory system.

You as a player get to choose your party (4 from available 8 heroes at the game release) and select which items of gear per hero — weapon, armor, shield, wondrous item, boots, and helm.  But all equipment is specific to that hero without trading or swapping.  Then pay to level it up, level your hero up, repeat.

Another key lacking of the game — possibly second worst — is each level is a bunch of smaller levels, each requiring a load time, and all very similar (unless you encounter a boss).  At first, all opponents drop like flies after 1 hit and do minimal damage .  But at a certain point (lvl 3 or 4), suddenly level 8 opponents show up and destroy your team with the same ease.  The game offers you a chance to go VIP and get access to restricted amazing loot for $20 monthly (?!?), or to begin the long dull grind ...  which is what seems to be the entire game.

If there were a true ‘Diablo-like’ element to the loot, or some real strategic element like Magic:TG or a real RPG, we might have something to work with here.  But again, from my perspective, the in-app market is primary and the actual game secondary.  And the game is not very fun.

What’s most surprising to me was that the game doesn’t actually seem to use ANY D&D rules or tactics whatsoever, as if ignoring that the source material is itself a strategic RPG?!  There are no skills used outside of combat, combat seems like what might have been an ‘autocombat’ in most modern games (ie pick from 4 options with timers or move to a new location on board), villains are an endless horde of identical grunts without any unique characteristics, and on and on.

The game does use D&D monsters, classes, and some background lore, sort of.  But this turns out to be such a missed opportunity to fully embrace the RPG.

Recommendation is to AVOID.

Why TRUMP is the biggest threat to the USA

Donald Trump must be impeached, arrested, tried, and punished.

I would leave it at that, but you may want to know why.  There are so many reasons.

  1. Traitor to USA, compromised by Russians
  2. Violates ethics laws
  3. Violated campaign finance laws
  4. An admitted sexual assailant before office, he is also a mysogynist, racist, white supremacist ignoramous (these last aren't crimes)
  5. Silences the masses with threats of law suits, maintains a team of lawyers to take people out -- even if they have valid claims -- and pays people off with hush money and NDA combinations.
  6. Hires undocumented workers in many of his businesses, then claims that the USA is under attack by undocumented people and we need a wall
  7. Has paid sex workers for sex
  8. Won't take any accountability for anything, uses 'fall guys' & passes blame to his underlings who he publicly fires
  9. Negligent on a range of catastrophes: Puerto Rico, California Fires, racist violence around USA, silent on Right-Wing terrorrists, etc
  10. Lies to people constantly without any pushback -- Venezuela is experiencing a coup by USA, Obama had normalized relations with Cuba which Trump ruined, he opened a dialogue with North Korea which is has subsequently mismanaged, wars in Middle East / Africa / Asia
Besides these reasons for removal from office and prosecution, he lacks the character to be a President.  He is psychologically unstable, a delusional egomaniac, a con artist, a compulsive liar.  His personal history is flawed as well -- abusive husband, many failed businesses, a racially biased real estate business, mob connections, his father was in the KKK, he has paid women to have sex (this was a crime once), and he is a sleaze bag.  He claims to be the great deal maker, but apparently doesn't understand modern economics as he arbitrarily imposes tariffs which adversely affect many industries.

While he claims to represent 'the common guy' by eating cheap quality food and participating in reality TV, his home is ridiculously opulent but in horrible taste.  He's never worked a hard day in his life until he became President.

George Bush Jr proudly claimed that he was an example of what a C student could do in the USA.  He left out "a billionaire C student".  Donald Trump is an example of what an uber-rich incompetent, megalomaniac buffoon can do in the USA.

If Trump endures 4 years of Presidency without being impeached, and is not prosecuted immediately when he leaves office, then the USA has more problems than international humiliation.  We will have signaled to the world that any charlatan can attain that high office, enact policies to destroy the USA's core social infrastructures, and leave without consequence.  THIS is the most dangerous part of all -- except perhaps for Trump having his finger on the NUKE button and also being commander in chief of our military.
